Exceptional 1920's French Art Deco Armoire withInlaid Floral Bouquets, Marquetry
Offered for sale is an exquisite art deco armoire from the 1920s featuring marquetry fruitwood, satinwood, amboyna burl-exotic and zebra wood. The two rare, rounded side doors highlight an intricate design of marquetry inlaid urns with floral bouquets. The center door displays a large beveled mirror. The front legs, center crown, keyholes and side columns are adorned with brass ormolu accents. The center and side doors open to reveal a spacious storage area. The shelves are all adjustable (five adjustable shelves, four original). The bottom shelf holds one drawer with a decorative keyhole. The armoire stands on a mahogany frame with turned feet, capped with brass turnings. It has ample room for storage and has held my sweater and tee shirt collections lovingly for years. It's in wonderful condition and can be easily disassembled (top, side doors, back and bottom can be dismounted with ease) for ease of transportation.
